History

Founded in Paris during an European Anarchist Congress in May 1948; the activities were organized by a French, Italian, Spanish and Jewish representative and supported by Bulgarian anarcho-communists in Paris; a branch of CRIA was set up in Montevideo, Uruguay; its purpose was to inform the various libertarian groups of each others' activities and to prepare anarchist world congresses; set up an archive of the anarchist movement; its organ was CRIA.
