After the take over by the military in 1976 a period of severe repression started in Argentina; as in Uruguay, where the army actually took power in 1973, oppositional organizations and groups were brutally persecuted; numerous people disappeared and were killed by the military.

Collection of Teresa Nalé consisting of copies of periodicals, photocopies of articles, leaflets and press clippings relating to the Movimiento Peronista Montonero and the Confederación General del Trabajo (CGT) in Argentina; a seminar on the liberation movement in Argentina, South Africa and the Middle East, held in Dar-es-Salaam in 1979; open letters to the military junta and the episcopate in Argentina; lists of victims of the repression; some copies of Noticias de Argentina, Vencer, Política Obrera, Libertades democráticas and Denuncia; press releases of the Uruguayan Partido por la Victoria del Pueblo and some copies of its periodical Compañero 1978.
